The Fair Political Practices Commission has created Form 806 - Agency Report of Public Official Appointments to be used to report additional compensation officials receive when appointing themselves to positions on committees, boards, or commissions or committees of a public agency, special district, and joint powers agency or authority. Statements of Economic Interests - Form 700
The City Council Members are elected officers identified in the Government Code section 87200 and file statements of economic interests with the City Clerk's Office.

The Political Reform Act (Gov. Code §§ 81000-91014) requires detailed disclosure of the role of money in California politics. This includes the disclosure of contributions and expenditures in connection with campaigns supporting or opposing local candidates and ballot measures.
Campaign disclosure filings are public documents. Any member of the public may inspect and obtain a copy of any statement.
