LOS NIETOS PARK - PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENTS

Let’s Learn About the Project

Los Nietos Park Parking Lot Improvements Project will expand and enhance the parking lot. The project includes new parking stalls, rehabilitation of the existing parking stalls, new sidewalk, parking/pedestrian lighting, ADA curb ramps, signage, curb, and gutters. The parking lot connects to the Rancho Santa Gertrudes Elementary School drop-off lane and parking lot. The improvements will increase the parking stalls by 36 in addition to the existing handicap parking stalls.

What to expect during construction:

  • Fencing with Privacy Screen: The contractor will place a construction fence around the parking lot during construction. Vehicles and workers will be entering and exiting during construction hours.
  • Parking: Parking will be available along a portion of Charlesworth Road. Alburtis Avenue, Millergrove Drive and Broaded Street parking will continue as normal.
  • Visit the Park! The park and facilities will remain OPEN during construction. Do not enter the construction zone. Park and walk around the construction site to reach your destination.
  • Los Nietos Child Care Center: The childcare center will remain OPEN during construction. Follow the detour signs around the construction fenced site to reach the childcare entrance.
  • Rancho Santa Gertrudes Elementary School: Parent drop-off will continue on the same route. School buses will continue to pick-up/drop-off on Alburtis Avenue.
