Fiestas Patrias

The Parks and Recreation Services Division presents the annual Fiestas Patrias Celebration on Friday, September 10, at Los Nietos Park, 11143 Charlesworth Road, Santa Fe Springs. This year, we are highlighting the state of Zacatecas. The evening’s festivities celebrate Mexico’s independence from Spain. This year’s live entertainment is headlined by La Sonora Dinamita.

In addition, the event features a variety of Mariachi music, folklorico dancing, Mexican food, arts and crafts, game booths and a beer garden hosted by the Santa Fe Springs Firefighters Association. The evening’s ceremony includes the traditional “Grito” or shout to ring in the day of independence along with a representative from the Mexican Consulate and the Santa Fe Springs City Council.

Free shuttle services will be offered throughout the night from Town Center Hall to Los Nietos Park. For more information, please contact Town Center Hall at (562) 863-4896.
