The Parks and Recreation Services Division presents the annual Fiestas Patrias Celebration on Friday, September 9, 2022 at Los Nietos Park. This year, we are highlighting the traditional celebrations of Mexican national pride, independence, and culture that take place both in Mexico, and across the United States. The evening’s festivities celebrate Mexico’s independence. 

The event features a variety of music, Folklorico dancing, Mexican food, arts and crafts, game booths and a beer garden hosted by the Santa Fe Springs Firefighters Association.  The evening’s ceremony includes the traditional “El Grito” or shout to ring in the day of independence along with a representative from the Mexican Consulate and the Santa Fe Springs City Council. 

Horseshoe Tournament  - Registration begins at 4 p.m. with tournament starting at 5 p.m.

Shuttles Service will be available at the Gus Velasco Neighborhood Center, Betty Wilson Center and Town Center Hall.

6:10 p.m. - 7:10 p.m. - Ballet Folklorico De Mi Herencia

7:10 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. - El Grito

7:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. - Mariachi Las Catrinas 

8: 45 p.m. - 9:45 p.m. - Banda Las Angelinas

10:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. - La Sonora Dinamita
