Lookout for the "Rec N Roll Patrol" in a neighborhood near you! Throughout the summer, Parks and Recreation Services staff will randomly select Santa Fe Springs resident households of past participants. They will go to an address and deliver a “Safe at Home” recreation kit and outdoor chalked art area (or other chalk art games). Recreation kits will include crafts, coloring pages, and more! #RecNRollPatrol
 
How Do I Sign Up?
No need to sign up. If you’ve registered for a class or activity in the past 2 years, you are automatically entered in the drawing. Only one household per block per delivery day.

Youth Sports Protocol

On August 3, 2020, the California Department of Public Health released the Covid-19 Interim Guidance for Youth Sports. On August 4, 2020, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health released the Reopening Protocol for Youth Sports Leagues. Those protocols were updated on August 12, 2020. Also, the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation released guidelines for Reopening Sports Fields. Below are the City of Santa Fe Springs protocols for youth sports leagues and sports fields and are consistent with the County Health Officer orders1 and the Centers For Disease Control (CDC) Considerations for Youth Sports2 and the State of California DPH Covid-19 Interim Guidance for Youth Sports3. We know that being cooped up at home isn't always fun. So we are bringing some fun nights where you and your loved ones can come together and enjoy family-friendly games and activities. Opening of City Parks

Effective Monday, June 15th, all of our city parks will open for passive recreation only.
This means the basketball courts, playgrounds, picnic areas, etc. will be cordoned off and other amenities, such as the restrooms, will be closed. Lakeview Park and Santa Fe Springs Park will be open and staffed Monday - Sunday from 12:00 - 8:00 p.m. Little Lake Park and Los Nietos Park will be open and staffed from Monday - Sunday from 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Staff will be available during these hours to answer questions from the general public. Visit our website for more information. 
Heritage Park will re-open on June 22nd , Monday - Sunday 10:00 a.m. 8:00 p.m. for passive recreation. All amenities and restrooms will also be closed. Physical distancing of 6 ft. and face covering will be required.

The City of Santa Fe Springs is closely monitoring guidelines from federal, state and county officials regarding the coronavirus. The “Safer at Home” order remains in full effect. Based on this directive designed to limit the spread of COVID-19 and as a precaution against the virus, the City has decided to maintain facilities closed and cancel all programs and events until further notice. Our City residents’ health and safety remains one of our top priorities, therefore, preventing public interaction during this pandemic will reduce the exposure to COVID-19.
