Create your own traditional sugar skull for "Día de los Muertos" (Day of the Dead) on Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Heritage Park, 12100 Mora Drive, Santa Fe Springs. Participants will be taught the art of decorating traditional sugar skulls with icing. Enjoy a morning of traditional music and delicious food. Many of your favorite Mexican delicacies will be available for purchase and vendors will be selling carious wares throughout the event.
Participants wishing to obtain a space to put up on an "ofrenda" (alter) for passes loved ones are encouraged to call the park staff for space rental fees and guidelines.
The cost for the workshop is $8 per person, per sugar skull. The event is open to the entire family, however sugar skull decorating is geared towards those 8 years and older.
