How do I stop water service?
You may call us or use our Online Service Request system to let us know you would like to stop water service.

Please let us know your forwarding address, so we can send you your final bill and the date you would like your service to be stopped. Note that the City requires 24 hour advance notice before your water service can be stopped.

How do I obtain a water quality report?

Who do I call for water questions?
The City of Santa Fe Springs provides water service to the vast majority of the City residents and businesses, but there are several other water companies that provide water services. 

The easiest way to determine who your water provider will be is to check your water bill, which will indicate what agency serves water to your address and it should have a phone number to call for questions and or complaints.

How do I sign up for automatic payment of my water bill?
We currently have a Direct Debit service which would deduct your payment from your checking account.  We can either fax you the form, mail you the form, or you may walk in to pick up the form.

How do I contact someone after work hours for water related emergencies?
If you are not sure who your water provider is, please check
your water bill which should provide a 24-hour emergency number. 

If the City of Santa Fe Springs is your water provider, please call (562) 868-0511, whereby you will be directed through the City’s after hours notification procedure.

How do I schedule a backflow test appointment?
You may call the the Public Works Department at (562) 409-7540 or use our Online Service Request system to let us know that you would like to schedule a backflow test appointment.

How do I start water service?
Residential Service:  $75 deposit
Commercial Service: $150 deposit

Your deposit amount is required before your water service is started.  You can pay that either with a credit card (everything except American Express) over the phone or you can pay in person.  We will also need your billing information.

To pay in person, come to City Hall at 11710 Telegraph Road, Monday thru Thursday between 7:30 am - 5:30 pm. 



How long will it take to schedule a backflow test appointment?
Your appointment will be scheduled within two weeks.  Please allow enough time to meet your required deadline.
