Safe Neighborhood Team Program

The City of Santa Fe Springs Safe Neighborhood Team (SNT) Program relies on the efforts of communityvolunteers. It is a program for emergency preparedness and neighborhood watch. It is coordinated by the combined efforts of Block Captains, Area Coordinators and AssistantCoordinators.

Combining the needs for the Neighborhood Emergency Preparedness (READI Program) and the Crime Preention (Crime Watch), Safe Neighborhood Teams now exist in 24 residential zones. The zones consist of captains, assistants and a trained volunteer corps. Volunteers are not required to complet training, however, participation is encouraged.

Volunteer Training

Class sessions are held regularly from 6:30 - 8 p.m. in "The Community Room" at the Police Services Center. The dates for classes vary due to instructor and room availability. Volunteers receive SNT I.D. badges.

Classes can be taken in any sequence, however, it is recommended that the orientation class be taken first.
