Richard J. Moore, Mayor Pro Tem
On December 21, 2010, the City Council appointed Richard J. Moore to fill the City Council position vacated by the retirement of longtime Councilmember Betty Putnam. Councilman Moore is a longtime resident and, until this appointment, was a Planning Commissioner. Councilman Moore is a former elected member of the Little Lake City School District Board of Education. He has also been a retired municipal employee serving in management positions with the City of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and the City of Carson. In addition, he served for six years as a reserve officer for the Monterey Park Police Department.
Richard and his wife Pauline have two sons and two daughters.
