Richard J. Moore, Council Member

Richard J. Moore is serving his second term as Council Member since his appointment to the City Council in 2010. Council Member Moore is a longtime resident of Santa Fe Springs. Prior to being appointed to the City Council, he served as a Planning Commissioner. He is a former elected member of the Little Lake City School District Board of Education. Council Member Moore is a retired municipal employee serving in management positions with the City of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and the City of Carson. In addition, he served for six years as a reserve officer for the Monterey Park Police Department.

Richard and his wife Pauline have two sons and two daughters.

William K. Rounds, Council Member
William (Bill) K. Rounds is serving his third term as a Council Member since being elected in November 2007, and served as Mayor in 2012 and 2017. 

Bill was born in Concord, Massachusetts, moving to Santa Fe Springs with his parents in 1951. He attended local schools, graduating from Santa Fe High in 1968.

Prior to his election to the City Council, Bill served as Santa Fe Springs Planning Commissioner for nine years. He has been an active member of the Parks and Recreation, Santa Float, Rose Parade Float, Safe Neighborhood Team and 50th and 60th Anniversary Celebration Committees as well as a former Coach and Boardmember for the Metropolitan Little League.

Bill retired in 2014 after working 41 years as a supervisor with the LACSD in the field engineering department.

Bill and his wife, Jennifer, have four adult children and eight grandchildren.

  Joe Angel Zamora, Council Member

Elected November 3, 2015, Joe Angel Zamora is serving his first term on the Santa Fe Springs City Council. He is a life-long resident of Santa Fe Springs. Joe Angel was raised in the City and attended school in the Little Lake City School District, where he is now a proud teacher.   

He has been involved in the community for several years through his church, in the City's sports programs, as a coach for Santa Fe High School, and as a participant in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Joe Angel has been a member of the City's Parks and Recreation Committee, has participated in the City's Christmas Float Program, and most recently served as a Planning Commissioner.
